The first houses of Armagnac were created around 1850 and currently continue to be managed by Samalens family in Laujuzan, in the Bas-Armagnac region. It is the largest distillery in the area, rebuilt in 1973. The distillation is monitored during the winter months and the tasting and quality control is carried out in each distillery, ev t ery day. The taste, smell and vision are worthy enough to the palate of the best experts in the world, and presents itself in the form of a stunning bottle with SAMALENS name.
Chabot’s 30 Year Old is dignified and polished. This debonair Armagnac has been delicately blended by our Cellar Master from vintages secured in the oldest reserves of Chabot.
It is produced solely with white wines from 10 different varieties, the most common being Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard and a little-known grape outside the region called Baco.
