Scala Coeli owes its name to the Monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli, commonly known as the Carthusian Monastery, where the Carthusian monks remain in silence and prayer. It results from the best vinifications of each year of less traditional vine varieties in the Alentejo. It was first produced in 2011. Being an exceptional wine with a high potential for evolution, it deserved the reservation. Made with Alicante Bouchet grapes.
Red wine from the Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca grape varieties. Fresh grapes harvested and selected by hand and trodden by foot in a stone press, where it ferments.
